This scholarship fund is a part of the CFMT General Scholarship Application that is open annually from December 1st to February 1st.

Eligibility: Those eligible to apply are graduates of Hume-Fogg High School who exhibit academic merit and financial need.

Now, many decades after her death, Sarah Foard Hume Lewis’ legacy continues through the creation of this Fund for graduates of Hume-Fogg High School, thanks to SunTrust Bank and The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. In her Will dated October 9, 1937, Sarah outlined her desire to help Hume-Fogg students through scholarship awards. While the selection process includes a component of financial need, it is clear academic merit should be the deciding factor. CFMT is honored to carry out her wishes.
