Hurricane Helene Relief

Chief Cares is currently directing all its charitable efforts to the communities who were directly impacted by the destruction from Hurricane Helene.

We are devastated by the unimaginable destruction in the surrounding region and especially the mountains of western North Carolina. These are our family members, friends, and neighbors. The whole area is in dire need of help. Anyone who knows anything about me, knows what North Carolina, and specifically this area in the mountains means to me personally, as well as creatively.

Chief Cares is focused on helping established charities and organizations that are well managed, organized, and can expedite aid directly to the families affected by Hurricane Helene. The needs are currently so vast. Families are still searching for loved ones. People have lost everything and are literally homeless. In this area, many of the children’s only guarantee of a meal is at school. Road washouts hinder people’s ability to get to work. We must help get the community get back on its feet. As always, Chief Cares will champion organizations that focus on helping people help themselves. Your donation is truly a building block that can impact and sustain long term resources in ensuring these communities are rebuilt.

The heart of this community is inspiring. It’s remarkable to see so many, selflessly come together in extraordinary ways to help each other. While we’re still gauging the devastation and extent of destruction and harm, our hearts remain with the people and our focus is on helping them get back on their feet.

To all the families and first responders, you are in our prayers, and we are doing everything we can to get you the help you need now.

Established 2013

Chief Cares was established by Eric and Katherine Church in 2013 to impact lives and make a difference not only in the United States but throughout the world.

The Church’s charitable fund is administered by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, a registered nonprofit that has connected generosity with need by distributing more than $1.2 billion over the past three decades.

Thus far, donations to Chief Cares have been utilized to provide support to underprivileged families and children throughout Tennessee and Eric’s home state of North Carolina. Internationally, gifts also have helped to supply beds and clothing to an orphanage in Nepal and create educational opportunities for children that otherwise would never have the chance to go to school; deliver bibles and aid to Haiti; provide operational financial assistance to the Humane Society’s no-kill animal shelters; and make an impact on additional causes close to Eric and Katherine’s hearts.

Thank you for your generosity and helping to provide the resources necessary to enable Chief Cares to continue giving to those who need it most. As a result of your support, more than $8 million has been granted to 100-plus charitable organizations around the world. With nearly a decade of giving to others in hopes of a brighter tomorrow through Chief Cares, we encourage you to be a part of our impact story for years to come!
